Hundreds of people of Zarin Shahr city, north of Isfahan, protested in front of the city hall on Tuesday April 21. They were protesting a government plan to charge land owners in the area extra taxes for the construction of a Freeway that would supposedly pass through their lands.
The city hall agents and Police tried several times to chase the protestors out of the region, but the people stood their ground and didn’t retreat to their bullying tactics. They remained on their place and forced the agents to retreat. The city hall agents and police had to submit to the demand of the land owners fearing of the spread of demonstration. This protest lasted 6 hours.
