The president of Yemen rejected Ahmadinejad’s request for a meeting at the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, one state-run daily in Iran revealed.
“Iran’s meddling in Yemen consists of supporting various groups and political parties, and arming and establishing spy networks,” said Yemen President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi during a speech at a New York institute. “The dossiers of 5 of 6 spy networks have been delivered to the court to be analyzed and prosecuted. Iran has blocked our progress and advances. Iran, by meddling in Yemen’s internal affairs, is attempting to spread instability and insecurity, and bring violence to all parts of the country. Right now, Iran has 6 spy networks in Yemen,” he added.
One state-run daily attacked Ahmadinejad and wrote, “These remarks are made while Ahmadinejad requested to meet with Yemen’s president in New York and he responded by officially rejecting to meet with the Islamic republic president.”
