Yemen: No relations with Tehran after the Iranian ambassador expelled in October

The Yemeni Foreign Ministry said that political relations with Iran have been cut since Oct. 2 after the Iranian ambassador was expelled from the count, Turkish Weekly reported Jan 6, 2016.
The ministry denounced what it called “severe Iranian interference in Yemen that aims to destabilize its security and stability by supporting the Houthis and former president Ali Abdullah Saleh” according to SABA news agency.
“The Iranian interferences have gone too far into other Arab and Islamic countries’ affairs and is fueling ideological and sectarian struggles in these countries” the statement said describing the attacks on Saudi diplomatic buildings in Iran as a continuation of Iran’s “hostile policy” against Arab nations.
