In the so-called Friday prayer sermon in Tehran, mullah Sedighi said increasing international sanctions are very harsh measures, the state-run Fars news agency reported.
“The world has placed us under the most severe sanctions, and the (Islamic republic) is enduring intense economic pressures,” he admitted.
“We are obtaining various types of weapons, missiles and nuclear abilities enhanced locally by our dear youth, and God willing, these problems will be resolved,” he said in reference to oil dollars being spent on producing weapons and means to crackdown on the Iranian people.
“If we back down on nuclear energy, the enemy’s indescribable enmity against us will not end at all,” he continued.
