Women in southeastern Iran protest inhumane stoning ruling + other protest reports

Women in this city rallied outside the regime’s judiciary office located in Taleqani Avenue on Thursday, August 14th, demanding the cancellation of the inhumane verdict issued for a woman by the name of Zohre Baran Zehi. According to reports received from inside Iran two hideous stoning rulings were also carried in in this city in the past month alone.

Nurses in the Sasan Hospital of Tehran went on strike protesting atrocious service conditions in this facility. This strike started on Tuesday, August 12th, and the hospital officials threatened to expel the nurses in response.

A number of young girls on Tuesday, August 12th, resisted measures taken by a number of Bassij paramilitary members harassing them under the pretext of mal-veiling. People witnessing the scene rushed to the girls’ support and clashed with the regime agents, forcing them to flee the scene.

A group of locals staged a gathering on Thursday, August 14th, protesting water shortage problems in this city. Fed up people and youth clashed with repressive agents, delivering severe beatings to many of them.


A group of Saipa CNG workers protested the regime’s refusal to officially employ them, going on strike on Tuesday, August 12th. They are concerned of being expelled from work like their colleagues who have been laid off in the past few months without receiving their paychecks for many months.

Tools store owners in the Iranian capital continued their strike on Saturday, August 16th, protesting tax extortions and imposing heavy taxes by the mullahs’ regime. This strike began last week and has continued so far.
