During the past week a young woman in the town of Khoy in northwestern Iran committed suicide by setting herself ablaze. This suicide raised the number of Kurdish woman and girls who have committed suicide in the past 3 months alone to 23 cases.
The last of committing suicide in such a method was of a young woman by the initials of H.Kh. living in this town. She was a mother of a two-year old child and committed suicide due to disputes with her family and the harassment of her husband.
