The Syrian opposition in Egypt strongly rejected any kind of talks with the Iranian regime and Lebanese Hezbollah, Arabic daily al-Sharq al-Awsat reported. They also called on the newly-established Syrian National Council to refrain from departing any option of the Syrian people consisting of overthrowing the Assad regime, establishing a civil and democratic sovereignty among the family of Arab countries.
“We reject any kind of cooperation or talks with any party who has committed a crime in the killing of the Syrian people, especially the Iranian regime and Hezbollah,” al-Sharq al-Awsat cited former Syrian MP Mohammad Ma’moun who is currently living in-exile in Cairo.
