Walid Jonbalat, President of the Lebanese Progressive Socialist Party, said Syria will not remain an Arabic state because its fate is in the hands of Iran, Orient TV reported.
“Syria has been annihilated under the rule of Bashar Assad. The Assad government has turned into a clan of criminals that govern over the people,” he added. Jonbalat also denounced Iran’s policies vis-à-vis the Syrian people, adding, “Iran intends to reach the Mediterranean Sea and it will not let go of this aim. It is also attempting to seize the city of Homs.”
