US State Dept. yet to issue visa for Iran’s new UN envoy

The US State Department has yet to make any remarks on its refusal to issue a visa for Hamid Abutalebi, the political deputy of the Iranian regime’s presidential office, who has recently been appointed to the post of the mullahs’ representative in the UN.
According to a report published by US and Iran media outlets, Hamid Abutalebi has been waiting to receive a visa to enter the US for some time now.
Abutalebi is one of the members of the teams and groups that took over the US Embassy in Tehran on 4 November 1979 and took Americans diplomats hostage.
