The US House of Representatives passed a bill ending a four decade ban on US oil exports. This bill was passed with 261 votes in favor against 159 nays. 26 Democrats joined their Republican colleagues in voting in favor of this plan.
This bill also bans any crude oil and oil product exports to Iran. The White House has threatened to veto the bill.
