Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney said Syria plays an enormous role in the Middle East as the “only Arab ally” of the Iranian regime. The US must do whatever it can to help and encourage those who are seeking freedom, Romney added.
Obama has not imposed crippling sanctions against the Iranian regime, Romney continued, saying the US president has not been able to make the Iranian regime understand there is a military option on the table and at the US disposal. This is unacceptable for the US for this regime to have a nuclear weapon, Romney stressed.
