UN General Assembly’s Human Rights Committee passes resolution condemning human rights violation in Iran

This is the 62nd resolution condemning human rights violation in Iran in the international organizations. Seventy-six countries voted in favor of the resolution, including the United States.
The resolution condemns the vicious wave of executions and the continued torture in Iran.
The resolution is based on a report by a U.N. investigator who says executions in Iran have been rising at “an exponential rate” since 2005 and could top 1,000 this year.
