
The 61st consecutive resolution in the General Assembly’s 3rd committee condemning human rights violations by the Mullahs’ dictatorship ruling Iran
The UNGA 3rd committee issued a resolution condemning the flagrant violation of human rights, specially the increasing wave of executions in the Mullahs’ dictatorship Iran. The committee in its resolution that was passed by 78 votes, expressed grave concern over the high number of executions in Iran. The resolution calls on the mullahs regime to stop all forms of violent and degrading treatments including torture in the country.
This resolution which is the 61st UN resolution condemning Iran in was passed following a report by Dr. Ahmed Shaheed, the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran.
The Iranian regime has not allowed Dr. Shaheed to visit Iran. This resolution will be referred to the UNGA in New York
