The regime’s governor of Tehran warned of the threat of water rationing in the Iranian capital.
Hossein Hashemi described Tehran’s drinking water as “one of the main problems this year”, adding the only way of avoiding water being cut off or rationalized in Tehran is for the consumers to lower consumption by 20%.
He also described Tehran’s polluted air as ‘very concerning’ and said the main reason behind it is the use of old cars.
“Based on statistics, 8,600 old taxi cabs and 22,000 old Samand and Pride model taxis, along with 60,000 private vehicles that work in various agencies all creating air pollution in Tehran on 24/7 basis,” Hashemi added.
