The Turkish daily Vatan reported: The Iranian troops crossed Piranshahr border and entered northern Iraq. 3,000 Iranian troops equipped with heavy and light weapons advanced as deep as 3 kilometers. According to the daily, a great number of tanks and Katyushas have been stationed in the Iranian border region.

Citing Adnan Mufti, the Kurdistan’s regional Parliament speaker, Vatan wrote: a big number of villages in the region have been damaged due to this operation and have been evacuated of residents.
