
Health condition of Saman Nasim, one of the hunger striking pol. Prisoners in Urumia prison has deteriorated to the extent that he had to be transferred to the prison clinic due to a faint. The prison authorities have threatened him that if he does not break his hunger strike, they will proceed with his death sentence.
Saman was sentenced to death during a kangaroo trial when he was not even 18 years old. He is one the prisoners who has protested against mixing political and criminal prisoners in one ward. They also demand an end to the inhumane condition and treatment of political prisoners. He has been on hunger strike since Thursday Nov. 20th, 2014. This prisoner is the youngest political prisoner awaiting death sentence in Urumia prison.
An informed source said: Saman was threatened On Dec. 13th by the security agents to break his hunger strike, or else they proceed with his death sentence. Saman had replied that he would not break his strike, even if he has to die for his people.
The source added that: Saman Nasim rejected receiving IV fluid and has announced that he will continue his hunger strike until the prisoners’ demands are answered.
