The Strike by 800 miners in south-central Iran continues

Saturday, February 13th marked the third day of an 800-man strike in the Heshuni mine located in Kerman Province, south-central Iran. The miners closed the mine gates and staged their picket line at the site. These deprived workers have not received their paychecks for the past 4 months and are protesting officials’ negligence to their very poor living conditions. The workers have insisted on continuing their strike until all their demands are met.
