The Festival of Fire, and opportunity for uprising

Iran, March 11, 2018 – We are in the final days of an Iranian calendar year that was filled with the largest, most stunning and most essential uprisings in the recent years of the Iranian history. Brilliant days, full of action, rallies and uprisings that reached their peak in December 2017 in 140 cities throughout Iran.
But progress was done step by step in a calculated manner, following a complex but unidirectional rising spiral, with ever increasing speed. A wave that will eventually evolve into a turning point that will shake up Iran and turn our society upside down. A development that is usually called a “Revolution”.

The Golden opportunity

Now is an opportunity to employ the experiences that have been acquired throughout the years, one of these experiences being about understanding and grasping the right moments and conditions for action and escalation.
On a day when nearly all Iranians from all corners of the country, will get out of their homes upon sunset, and will celebrate an ancient national custom by jumping over fire clusters and cracking fire crackers, playing with fireworks and other traditional ceremonies.
It is in this unique moment that people will recognize their true power for a few hours. These same oppressed people, whom the regime doesn’t even pay their deserved salaries, for periods as long as a year.
This is a moment whose beacon can be seen throughout the year, from farthest distances. It’s a fixed appointment that no one is able to cancel or steel away.
This is the unique characteristic of the “Festival of Fire”. It is different than other traditional rituals and ceremonies in that it is inherently characterized with “Fire”. A phenomenon that always has an aggressive nature, and is hence a rare opportunity for a nation that has the will power to fight against the dictator. A rendezvous set inherently for open presence in public places, with fire crackers and fire clusters.
It is a huge national campaign vis a vis an oppressive government that cannot even tolerate the smallest gatherings for playing games, but has no power facing this tradition, and any oppressive action by its agents will receive a fierce and fiery response by the Iranian Youth.
Undoubtedly, future generations will hail their young ancestors’ acuteness for choosing the “Festival of Fire” to stand up to the Mullahs and their regime.
