A number of workers of Topoli clothing factory in Valiasr Street, Tehran gathered on Wednesday Jan. 28th in front of the central office of the factory to protest against their unpaid salaries and wages.
A protester talked about the aims of the gathering: “we have not been paid anything during past 2 months now, and today we heard that production manager says they can pay no salaries due to lack of financial resources! He says it is better for the workers to find another job! Yes! That is why we have gathered here and we are protesting.
We would definitely stay and there is no backing off from our demand!!”
