In a sign of solidarity with vendors, shop owners in Joumhouri Street neutralized a coordinated attack of city hall workers and plain cloth security force.
The repressive government agents tried to arrest vendors and confiscate their stand at this major intersection, but shopkeepers who were present and were witness to the scene, neutralized the attack and helped their neighboring vendors to protect themselves and their assets from being confiscated and robbed by the agents.
