Dozens of retired workers of Tehran government agencies gathered on Sunday May 10th in front of the State Social Security Organization in Azadi (Freedom) Blvd. near the labor ministry to protest government inaction to remedy and solve their grievances and their living hardships. They also protested unpaid pensions and monthly allowances.
One of the protesters said ’the government is only using workers and low income citizens as tools for their own benefits and that the workers are denied their basic and minimum citizen’s rights.’
They demanded compensation and said with the money they receive, their very basic and minimum needs are not provided.
