Tehran police triples patrol units

Head of the Greater Tehran police unveiled plans to reorganize patrols in the Iranian capital, saying, “Tehran’s ‘110’ patrols will be tripled in Tehran by the month of October”.
“To rid the void in various neighborhoods, one patrol will be allocated to every neighborhood, patrolling the area 24 hours a day,” Mohsen Khancherli said.
“The neighborhood security plan is continuously being implemented by the police in all neighborhoods,” he added.
“According to the agenda police agents and patrols will be present in the areas and take serious action against violators of the law,” Khancherli said referring to Tehran police’s night missions and operations. (State-run Fars news agency – September 1, 2014)
