Tehran main railway station was the scene of clashes between passenger and baggage controllers on Thursday evening when a number of passengers protested against the annoying harassments by the controllers during baggage inspection.
The incident happened when two passengers whose baggage was asked to be checked again following a thorough and complete check at an earlier checkpoint. They said their baggage was already checked once, and why should there be a second check? They got angry when the response from the controllers was to ignore their protest and quarrel began leading to physical clashes.
