Deputy Planning of the Tehran governor office announced the Iranian capital’s water reserves are now in their worst conditions in the past 46 years. According to the website of this governorate, Ne’matollah Torki said Tehran’s water conditions have reached warning levels.
He claimed the reason for this has been the drought of the past two years and a 32% decrease in rainfall in Tehran. This regime official claimed Tehran’s water consumption is twice that of global standards.
