Tehran: Dentistry graduates protest the change of curriculum

A relatively large number of dentistry graduates rallied in front of the parliament building in Tehran on Tuesday Dec. 30th to protest setting new regulations for student applicants with degree from foreign countries. They were protesting against unjust system of vetting foreign graduate students for higher medical courses and introducing new qualification exams similar to the ones taken at the beginning of universities.
The protesters of this vetting system have staged similar gatherings twice before; one in front of the Health Ministry Building 2 months ago, and the second in front of Mullahs’ parliament building a month before. Their complain is about why there was no limitation before from the first to the 23rd term of enrolling grad students, but suddenly started from the 24th term. This new vetting system started right now and is similar to university exams.
