Tehran: Construction workers clash with city authorities

A number of Construction workers clashed with the city authorities in Tehran’s Qazvin Sq. at 7 o’clock in the morning Sunday Feb. 1st. The regime’s agents did not want the deprived job seeking workers with threadbare clothing and appearance to be seen on the streets during the anniversary of the return of Khomeini to Iran and to ruin the false and ridiculous image of this bizarre street exhibition. This anniversary which is celebrated annually by only the regime’s paid devotees would fool no one except the regime’s own Basij elements.
The agents’ repeated attempt to force the workers to leave was not heeded by the workers and they paid no attentions to the agents’ threats and intimidations. One worker said that they don’t have any money to feed their family and children and refused to leave. They clashed with the agents saying they don’t care about the anniversary of “Imam’s return, we want food and money to feed our children.”
