Tehran Bazaar remained closed despite state threats

Despite pressures, threatening and detainments by the State Security Force, the Tehran Bazaar shopkeepers continued their strike on Monday and booed the representative of the State Security Force (SSF) – mullahs’ suppressive police, who had gone to Tehran’s Bazaar to break the strike. His remarks trying to deceive the shopkeepers to open their shops resulted more anger among them.
Chanting anti-government slogans, the shopkeepers compelled him to leave the mosque and left their shops closed. According to eye witnesses all the shops were closed at 11.30 a.m.
