At the time when Rouhani’s government claims that it has lowered the inflation rate by around %10, state media citing Tehran Governor, Issa Farhadi as saying on April 6th that public transportation fares has increased by %20. This increase has gone in to effect since April 5th. Farhadi had previously claimed that the increase of public transportation fares should not exceed the inflation rate.
