Mullah Ali Saeedi, Khamenei’s representative in the Revolutionary Guards, described negotiations on Iran’s nuclear dead-end with the international community as a chalice of poison for the mullahs’ leader.
“As Khomeini drank from the chalice of poison at the end of the Iran-Iraq War, the enemy seeks to take similar action and force the leader into negotiations,” he said in a gathering of the regime’s mullahs’ in the city of Shahrood, east of Tehran.
“Negotiating with the US is a game and a trap for us, to lead to the destruction of the establishment. Reform and overthrowing the establishment are the enemy’s main formula that they are pursuing. During these past 30 or so years, the establishment has always been under pressure from its enemies,” he added.
