Deputy Commander of Bassij forces in the Iranian regime’s Armed Forces Headquarters stressed the Syrian regime is the mullahs’ red line, the state-run Mehr news agency reported. Jazaeri once again revealed the mullahs’ fear over Bashar Assad’s downfall and once again expressed one the clerical regime’s support.
“The issue of Syria is a very important subject and considered our red line,” Jazaeri said. “Therefore, any negotiations over this issue must take place under the framework of the interests of us and Syria.”
“The arrogant front (term used by the mullahs’ regime for Western nations) is blatantly and flagrantly carrying out measures aimed at overthrowing the Syrian government. Based on this countries must seriously support Syria against its enemies,” he added.
