Students of Qazvin University Gathered in Protest to Students’ Arrest

Amir-Kabir website on Oct. 8, reported from Qazvin University that the students staged a gathering at university campus in protest to keeping in custody the arrested students of Tehran’s Polytechnic.

The students chanted “political prisoners must be released from prisons; universities are not military camps and political security is our indubitable rights.”

The protesting students in a statement issued in the gathering announced: “yesterday you accused us of escaping from truth and light and called us agents and today you install closed-circuit camera in the university, you think here is a garrison with a number of soldiers and you are commanders of this garrison… we wish that instead of so much spending on suppression forces, you open your eyes to see the realties, before the realty opens your eyes. It is time to realize the time of acting as a guardian is over, and installation of closed-circuit cameras and such measures do not change anything.”
