More than 300 students in Tehran’s Polytechnic University demonstrated in the campus on Sunday protesting the use of minors for dangerous jobs after a 17-year old worker was killed during a job. The students skipped classes demanding oversight regulations in hiring workers.
Students of Payam-e-Noor University in Ahwaz protested against lack of minimum basic facilities to form classes.
Female students at Azad University in Ghom on Monday gathered in front of the security compound condemning imposing suppressive policies on the female students. There was another demonstration in front of the University director’s office protesting against the staff incompetence and lack of basic needs.
More than 1000 students at Tehran’s Pardis University demonstrated outside president’s office demanding the resignation of the technical deputy president accusing him of hiring low paying nonprofessional youth to do the job of professional workers. This demonstration took place after a 17-year old employee was electrocuted while trying to fix a faulty line.
