In the latest report of Iran’s Statistics Center, the country’s public unemployment rate is %10.5. According to these stats, the rate of men’s unemployment has improved in comparison to that of women’s, while women are still looking for jobs. Based on the report of Iran’s Statistics Center, the rate of men’s unemployment rate reached %10 last winter. This is while the rate of women’s unemployment, especially in the towns and villages, has reached %47.
This shows that there are more women unemployed in the country.
Based on these stats, the rate of unemployed women in the villages and towns is %47.2 and the rate of unemployed women in cities has reached a record high %54.1. These unemployed women are mostly between the ages of 15 to 29. (Asr-e Iran – June 23, 2014)
