The workers of the Khavar spinning factory in Rasht, northern Iran, staged a demonstration and sit-in since Sunday and by setting tires on fire, blocked the road from Fouman to Rasht protesting to demand their unpaid salaries for 17 months.

The protesting workers said: We have been deprived of our salaries, fringe benefits and job facilities for one year. They also said they have staged protests several times, but the regime’s authorities have always ignored their demands.
