INTV, 31 Sep 2013 – Iran’s former spy chief Mullah Heidar Moslehi said there are those who want the regime to drink from the chalice of poison.
“Analyzing US’ behavior during the past 35 years shows even if the US opens its arms towards Iran, its objective from this arm opening is to slap the establishment in the face,” he said.
“Some people believe we should drink from another chalice of poison. These individuals must know that we accepted the resolution (referring to the UN Security Council Resolution 598 back in 1988) not because we weren’t able to confront the enemy. In fact the lassitude of various officials and internal disagreements forced Khomeini to accept the resolution, and then he recalled it as a chalice of poison,” Moslehi added.
