Social unrest in five cities across Iran

Khoram Abad:
Taxi drivers working from Imam Hossein Avenue to the Open University in this city on the morning of Monday, May 12th tore all banners in this pathway protesting increasing fuel prices.


Bandar Abbas:
A large number of truck drivers went on strike on Sunday and Monday, May 11th and 12th, refusing to carry any loads and staged a gathering protesting increasing fuel prices and low rent fees for transportation.


Sarpol Zahab:
A number of deprived residents of the villages around this city (located west of Iran near the Iraq border) rallied outside the governor office protesting water shortages.


Ahvaz:
After four days of staging protest gatherings demanding their delayed paychecks, retired personnel of the Ahvaz Steel Company forced regime officials to give in to their demands. They had started this protest rally on May 7th outside the regime’s retirement center and continued it on to May 11th until their demands were met.
