The British based Sky news television reported on Monday, May 11, 2015 that Mahabad saw the fourth night of unrest last night as the anti-regime protest continued. According to the Sky news, the protests and demonstrations have spread to other cities in the Kurdish region, western Iran. There have been protests reported in the cities of Bukan, Oshnavia and Marivan, all to the west of the country. Demonstrators have called for the overthrow of the regime in its entirety while burning photos and posters of the Islamic Republic founder, Khomeini and the current mullahs’ Supreme Leader, Khamenei.
Kurdish sources say that State Suppressive Security Forces, SSF, attacked the demonstrations injuring dozens with batons and arresting dozens of others.
