INTV, 26 Sep 2013 – Authorities of Ghezel Hessar Prison in Karaj, east of Tehran, intend to execute six Kurdish political prisoners. One of these inmates has said, “We six individuals have gone on hunger strike. The families of us six intend to stage a protest rally outside Ghezel Hessar Prison today,” one of the prisoners has said.
Amnesty International has warned of the imminent execution of these six political prisoners. According to Amnesty, ‘moharebe’ and ‘corruption on earth’ are the charges raised against these inmates, who have been identified by the names of: Hamed Ahmadi, Sedigh Mohammadi, Jamshid Dehghani, Jahangir Dehghani, Kamal Molaei and Hadi Hosseini.
