In a horrific revelation, Hassan Rouhani’s deputy in women and family affairs talked about a shocking example of mass executions in Iran.
“Today our laws are defined in a way that if a man of the family violates a law, his wife and children must also be punished,” Shaheendokht Molvaradi said. “We know of many cases that a man of the family has been thrown to jail due to narcotics or some other crime, and the law confiscates his property when a small apartment is the only shelter of his wife and children. What responsibility does the law have before the woman and her three children whose only shelter is confiscated?
“Currently there are 17 entities and institutions that have budgets and are responsible in the field of social damages. However, we must ask the question on what is the place of these institutions in decreasing the consequences of social crimes imposed on families?
“A family’s apartment has been confiscated, and they care less about what a woman with three children will do? The answer to this question is not at all important to law enforcement institutions. We have a village in Sistan & Baluchistan Province in which all men have been executed.”
