Shamkhani, head of the regime’s Defense Research Center and Minister of Defense during Khatami’s term, expressed the clerical dictatorship’s fear over the people’s uprisings and said: “Soft war is one hundred times more deadly than a military war”.
“Today’s war (soft war), although it doesn’t smell like gunpowder and on the surface no sounds of gun and canon fire are heard from it, yet it is hundreds of times more deadlier than a military war”.
