Iraqiya Coalition spokesman Heidar al-Mulla took part in an interview with al Jazeera TV saying the Iranian regime is behind the initiative to set aside Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi.
“They say the Iraqiya Coalition has set aside Tareq al-Hashemi,” al-Mulla said in the interview. “This is tone the Iranian regime and its elements in Iraq have been playing in Iraq for the past 18 months, meaning they are attempting to create division among the Iraqiya Coalition. The objectives behind this issue are quite obvious. Today, all of Iraq’s political trends are based on political sectarianism.”
