A senior officer of the terrorist Quds Force by the name of Abu Shahd al-Jabouri, along with 40 other terrorists, was killed by Free Syrian Army members in recent clashes near the town of Qonitare. This officer commanded a battalion known as Zolfaqar and his forces played a major role in the massacre of innocent Syrian civilians.
Iran’s state-run ISNA news agency wired this report and admitted his death took place on Tuesday, February 25th, raising a “wave of joy” amongst Syrian rebels. FSA rebels have seized numerous grounds and sites from forces of Assad, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Hezbollah and inflicted heavy blows to them.
Coinciding with the death of this Quds Force officer in Syria, Ala’edin Borujerdi, head of the Majlis (parliament) Security Commission in Iran, met with Assad and emphasized the Iranian regime’s support.
