Senior IRGC commander warns unrest will begin from cities not Tehran

NCRI, 15 Jan 2013 – A senior commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) warned on Monday “unrest will begin from cities instead of Tehran” with “living conditions” playing a major role. He described the next two months as “critical” for the regime.
IRGC Brigadier General Naser Shabani, in an interview with state-run “Ghanoon“ newspaper on Monday, January 14, 2013, said: “ Our analysis is that various issues concerning the living conditions such as sanctions and mismanagements will be involved … and our assumption is that this time around the unrest will begin from the cities other than Tehran, and it is possible that the issues concerning living conditions will play a major role and the poor and vulnerable will participate in future unrest”.
The deputy commander of IRGC’s “Imam Hussain University” pointed out the internal and external crisis that the mullahs’ regime is facing and described the next two months as “critical”.
He said, “If the situation in Iran, Syria and Iraq remains the same in the next two months, then the West will invite us for cooperation.”
