Sen. Cassidy discuss Iran nuclear threat

U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy, who was visiting Israel, said his concern is to “stop Iran from continuing to develop its nuclear program.”
A news release from Cassidy’s office said his meeting was focused on “concerns over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and the P5+1 negotiation to lift sanctions on Iran in exchange for changes to Iran’s nuclear program.”
“… The U.S. Senate must exercise its power to ensure that any negotiations with Iran will protect the United States and our allies.”
Earlier this month, Cassidy, R-Baton Rouge, supported the amended Senate version of House Resolution 1191, the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, to provide congressional review and oversight of agreements relating to Iran’s nuclear program, the news release stated.
