Saudi FM: we thank French position on nuclear talks with Iran

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir in a joint press conference with his French counterpart Laurent Fabius on Wednesday, June 24 expressed his country’s gratitude on Paris’ position in the nuclear talks with Iran.
“The relationship between France and Saudi Arabia is historic and strategic, and there is constant coordination between the two countries,” he said.
“We express our gratitude regarding France’s position in the P5+1 talks with Iran. In these negotiations there have been coordination between France and Saudi Arabia, and this trend continues,” he added.
On a question regarding the Saudi delegation’s visit to Moscow he said, “We are continuously conferring over global events. In the visit by the Saudi Deputy Crown Prince to Russia talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations. We have also discussed the case of Syria and the negative measures carried out by Iran in the region and Yemen. This visit was a success and we hope our positions will become closer in serving security and peace in the region.”
“The solution in Yemen must be based on the peace initiative proposed by the Gulf countries and the UN Security Council resolution 2216,” he concluded.
