The Saudi foreign minister website issued a statement on Monday, January 4, 2016 citing the foreign minister, al-Jubeir saying that the Saudi Arabia is lodging a formal complaint with the UN Security Council against the Iranian regime calling for assurances in safeguards and the security for its missions in Iran. The foreign ministry statement also called on other international organizations including Arab league, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to condemn this action by the Iranian regime.
