The Saudi Ambassador to the US, Adel Ben Ahmed Al-Jobeir said there is no discrepancy between Riyadh and Washington as to the fact that Iran is supporting the Houthi rebels in Yemen, Al-Jazeera TV reported. He added that the Iranian regime is financing and supporting Houthi rebels with arms and building weapons’ factory. Iran also supplies the Houthis with weapons on its own.
The Saudi Ambassador reiterated that Iranian elements are active in cooperating with Yemeni Houthis and reports indicate that the US warships have in past encountered ships carrying weapons to the Houthis.
