INTV, 26 Nov 2013 – Ali Rabi’i, Rouhani’s minister of labor and a former deputy intelligence minister, in recent remarks admitted to just the tip of the iceberg of the unemployment crisis currently engulfing Iran.
“The head of the Statistics Center recently announced in the best of conditions only 75,000 new job opportunities were created annually in the past years, and in the last 8 years this adds up to only a total of 600,00 jobs. This is while the unemployment rate during these years increased, adding to the number of people unemployed,” he said.
