Tehran
At 7:30 pm on Saturday, August 9th, a number of youths attacked and severely beat a Bassij member in Imam Hossein Square in eastern Tehran, and they were able to depart the area safely. After a few minutes an ambulance came to the scene and transferred the Bassij agent to a hospital. It is said that this agent had opened a store around this area and along with other regime agents were always harassing the youths in this district.


Bandar Abbas
Angry residents of Bistune village attacked state police agents on Friday, August 8th, killing two of them. This attack started when the police agents opened fire on a vehicle carrying fuel to this village and murdered the driver. It is said that currently the roads leading to this area have been occupied by repressive police units.


Hamedan
Students of Hamedan University staged a gathering outside the dean’s office on Thursday, August 7th, protesting the fact that their classes were not opened and the officials of this university being so incompetent.


Tehran
A taxi driver a number of his youth passengers clashed with repressive police agents on Friday, August 8th, in Tehran’s Jomhouri Avenue, seriously beating two of the agents. This scuffle erupted when vehicle driver asked the agents why Jomhouri Avenue was closed but they answered him with insults. The people witnessing the scene came to the support of the taxi driver.


Isfahan
The strike launched by Isfahan gold retailers continues to this day. Some have closed their stores for a few weeks now protesting tax extortions imposed by the mullahs’ regime.
