More than 5,000 residents of Saman in Chahar-Mahal & Bakhtiari province demonstrated to protest the digging of a water canal by the regime to redirect the province’s only irrigation water for other private uses. They were carrying placards and posters saying “digging the Golab tunnel is the death of Zayandeh-rood” citing the only river that is used for agricultural purposes in that region.
